Cars that are using electronic parking brakes often have the parking brake motor directly mounted behind the stock caliper.

When you change to performance brakes, most calipers are not designed for the brake motor to directly mount on unlike stock brakes.

Thus an extra caliper is required to be mounted for the parking motor to be attached.
